Travel and local information

How to get to the University of Nottingham

There are trams leaving from Nottingham train station (go upstairs) every 7 minutes. You want a tram in the direction of Toton Lane; get off at the University of Nottingham stop. You need to buy a ticket from the machine before you get on the tram. The trip takes about 15 minutes.

If you travel by car, you will need a parking permit for the day and you can then park at any visitor car parks which are marked on the campus map below.

Accommodation

We have booked the accommodation for speakers in the Jubilee Conference centre on Jubilee campus of the University of Nottingham. See here for maps and directions or this map for the suggested 20 minutes walk between the hotel and the talks. Otherwise there is a hopper bus organised by the university which you can use for free.

If you need to book your own accommodation, we recommend hotels in the city centre (Ibis, Jury's Inn, ...). It is less than half an hour to campus by tram. This site has some suggestions of hotels and other accommodation. Unfortunately the Orchards hotel on campus is already fully booked.

If you are having problems or questions regarding booking of accommodation please get in touch with the organisers.
