Mathematical Neuroscience: from spikes to networks.
I am Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Nottingham. My research uses dynamical systems, nonlinear mathematics and mathematical modelling to understand neural activity and computation.
Research interests
My work spans mathematical neuroscience, spiking and neural population models, neural fields, oscillations, conduction delays and plasticity. A recurring theme is understanding how the dynamics of interacting neural systems give rise to emergent behaviour.
See the research page for more detail, projects and mathematical resources.
