Lee Curtin

I am a PhD student within the Mathematical Medicine and Biology research group at the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham. I work under the supervision of Professor Markus Owen and Dr Kris Van der Zee. I also hold a Research Collaborator position at the Precision Neurotherapeutics (PNT) Innovation Lab at the Mayo Clinic, Arizona under Dr Kristin Swanson.

I am interested in mathematical models applied to medical problems. Once calibrated through experimental research, these models can often predict behaviour that is hard to observe clinically. Calibrated models can provide guidance for a wide range of problems such as finding a new therapeutic target or an optimal treatment plan.
