4 postdoctoral positions (2 years fixed term each) Two 2 year fixed-term postdoctoral research assistant/research fellow positions in each of the two universities are available, to work on projects of EPSRC pgoramme grant entitled “Symmetries and Correspondences”, with team members from Nottingham and Oxford Universities which includes Professor Ivan Fesenko (Nottingham), Professor Nigel Hitchin (Oxford), Professor Minhyong Kim (Oxford), Professor Kobi Kremnitzer (Oxford), Professor Boris Zilber (Oxford). The projects The positions are available from September 2016 plus minus several months. Salary ranges from £28,695 to £37,394 p.a., depending on previous experience. The web page of the team is at It includes more information about the projects of the grant. In particular, several geometries and interactions between them play a key role. Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree in mathematics, a PhD awarded, or PhD submitted (at the time of taking up the position) in mathematics or a related discipline, excellent background in more than one area of the project and a genuine interest to expand to new areas. Candidates must be outstanding researchers and have at least three papers in math arxiv or published together with a high mathematical ability. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the teamwork on the grant, activities of the team, publication of scientific papers and to their dissemination.
