Thesis Title Transmission lines, quantum graphs, fluctuations on complex networks.
Thesis Abstract The importance of modelling electrical signals propagating through networks can never be overemphasised. High frequency cables are commonplace recently and in attendance with these developments is the complexity of electrical networks and hence their topologies. We are working on cable network theory and experiments using the formalism of quantum graph theory. The theory will be applied to model realistic cable networks and also used to study the fluctuations on complex networks. We will compare the theory with alternative approaches, and will test its limits by verifying reflection and transmission spectra with measurements performed in the cable network laboratory.
