Thesis Title Particle Detectors in Fermionic and Bosonic Quantum field theory in flat and curved spacetimes
Thesis Abstract The project will analyse Hawking's prediction of black hole radiation and related thermal effects in curved spacetime quantum field theory in situations where the system is far from equilibrium and time-dependence has a strong role. Specific examples include the onset of Hawking radiation when a star collapses to form a black hole, the time evolution of Hawking radiation during black hole evaporation, and the decay of thermality due to expansion in the early universe.
