Travel Grants

The call for travel grants is now closed.

Grants are for scientists who work in one European institution to visit an institution in a different European country for the purposes of cooperative research.

	The scientist must return to their home institution
	Postgraduate students are eligible to apply
	Conference attendance is not supported by this scheme

The financial support includes a contribution to travel costs and living costs but does not include salary. Grants are classified as Short Visit (up to 15 days) or Exchange Grants (over 15 days).

To Apply

1.	Check the research you propose is in the area of the network (see About QG)
2.	Read the detailed guidelines for how to apply and rates of financial support
3.	Apply online for an exchange grant or a short visit grant

Reporting

In the month after your visit, you are required to write a short report. This is necessary before expenses can be paid fully.

Deadlines

There is no application deadline, and applications will be considered as long as there is budget remaining. All visits must have been completed *and* the final report submitted by the end of December 2011.

The support of the network should be acknowledged in any publications resulting from the visit.
